Our Certificate in Hair Extensions will teach you the fundamental theoretical and practical skills you’ll need in order to work as a hair extension technician. This course will help you master the different methods for installing hair extensions as well as essential hair extension aftercare and maintenance. Our comprehensive course will also teach you how to provide a personalised experience for each and every client.
This course will include lessons on tape wefts, custom tape design, nanobeads, microbeads, flat-track wefts, beaded wefts and invisible wefts. You will also learn about how to appropriately use and install fusion, braided wefts and temporary methods such as clip-ins, wigs and fringe pieces.
Hair extensions continue to be a high-demand salon service for hairstylists, with a lot of paying clients looking for experienced hair professionals capable of installation and maintenance. Take advantage of this demand and start your own at-home business or use this certificate to land the perfect job position. Hair Extension technicians can charge between $500 – $800 per application depending on the occasion and usually take close to an hour for each application. The earning potential is endless!

Upon completion of your short pathway course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Attainment. You will also receive a transcript of all the units you have completed.
Flexible learning is all about studying at a pace and in a way which best suits you. Morning, noon or night. For twenty minutes or two hours at a time. In a cafe, at home, or in a library. You can go at your own pace, set your start and finish times, and choose an environment which effectively supports your learning.
There are no set deadlines. Whilst you will have 12 months total access to your course contents, in this time you can complete your course as swiftly or slowly as you wish. That’s the freedom of flexible learning!
Whilst there are no specific age requirements, if you are under the age of 18, we will need to speak with a guardian.
